Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC)

Mission

The Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) is a group of minority business owners who provide counsel and recommendations so that the programs and projects implemented by the KMSDC are relevant and supportive of minority business development. The MBEIC chair and vice chair are members of the KMSDC Board of Directors and provide an organized and formal mechanism through which recommendations are shared with the Board and reports and other information can be shared with MBEs.

Objectives

The MBEIC is charged with facilitating expansion of the minority business community:

  • Recruit new MBEs to be certified and to participate in and support KMSDC activities
  • Support KMSDC staff and Council activities
  • Establish working relationships with standing committees of the Board
  • Identify the needs of the minority business community and recommend programmatic solutions to the Board
  • Report to the Council chairperson on the progress of the local and national MBEICs
