GLOBAL LINK LOGISTICS

After working for United Parcel Service (UPS) for more than 16 years, Lisa Soler felt it was time to pursue her dreams of having her own business and meeting a nice man in Kentucky to start a family with. Having spent much of her career with the international arena, traveling throughout the world and relocating several times, she was eager to stay in one place and wanted to own her own company. So Lisa, with the support of her friends and family, wrote four independent business plans. She finally decided on the one for an express logistics company, supporting contract manufacturing and warehousing - thus Global Link Logistics was born.

Partnering with a cousin, Lee Dornfield, Lisa established Global Link Logistics in 1999. Based in Louisville, the company strives to be perceived and recognized as the preferred total logistics, warehousing & contract manufacturing "value added" provider by responding rapidly and cost effectively.

The company provides expedited delivery services, contract manufacturing/assembly, and warehousing/distribution services for several area companies, including UPS, Derby Industries and Cingular Wireless. She has received several complimentary letters from clients recently, praising the company by stating "We are happy to say that Global Link is 100% effective in on-time/no service interruptions performance. This is quite an accomplishment." And "We are amazed at the immediate cost savings our company has recognized since working with Global Link Logistics, your company has been wonderful to work with."

Lisa says that the company, which now employs fourteen people, maintains a competitive advantage by recognizing their strengths and by treating every customer and employee as their most valuable asset. Global Link takes the approach as a consulting company, evaluating the needs and processes of a company and makes recommendations based on the best interest of your company.

Lisa's other interests include renovating houses & rental property, buying and selling vehicles, volunteering for non-profit organizations and culinary (she graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York City). A Saltwater aquarium in her office is home to several tropical fish - including a Damsel Fish - the smallest one in the tank, but also the most aggressive. A fitting mascot for this growing company and its dynamic leader!
